The Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) is responsible for staying a step ahead of the game when it comes to policy changes and issues affecting the profession. We ensure the interests of real estate professionals are represented in dealings with parliamentarians, government departments, community stakeholders and state and national media.
As the industry’s collective voice, the REIQ advocates on a diverse range of issues relevant to real estate businesses as well as to property owners and investors, aspiring homeowners and communities across Queensland. This includes legislative and regulatory reforms regarding the sale of property, rental tenancies, taxation and recommendations to fiscal policy that encourage responsible economic growth to ensure the stability of Queensland’s property market. Furthermore, the REIQ also plays an integral role in advocating on policy issues on behalf of the State’s 46,000 real estate professionals and 5,000 agencies.
The REIQ takes a leadership position with respect to responsible standards of service and policies to ensure a vibrant and sustainable property industry.
