REIQ Summit gets agents IGNITION ready

06/03/2018

A dramatic vision of the future and how the real estate profession will evolve to meet a changing landscape where trust is the primary currency will be unveiled at IGNITE: REIQ Summit 2019.

The two-day conference will show real estate professionals how to prepare for the trust economy, how they will need to change the way they deliver customer service and how the robots will help, rather than replace, the human relationship-building skills that will be required for success.

The event is open to everyone. People from professions other than real estate and members and non-members of the REIQ are all welcome to attend.

REIQ CEO Antonia Mercorella said this year’s conference was the most forward-thinking and dramatic conference the real estate sector had ever seen.

“Our agents need to prepare themselves, not for the next two years, but for the next two decades. The way we interact online is going to be very different in the future. Trust is a key issue. People are looking for who they can believe, who is authentic and who will deliver the results they want and it’s not necessarily about money.

“The next generation of property consumer, whether that’s owner occupier or investor, will have different values to the generations that have gone before. They will have different expectations and demand different results.

“We must be ready to meet them on their terms, not the other way around,” Ms Mercorella said. “This conference will do that.”

The REIQ Summit is now in its fourth year and has become the highlight of the real estate calendar.

Speakers this year are focused on real estate issues and will teach attendees how to get ready, how to ramp up their business and how to future-proof their business.

A small selection of the world-class speakers to grace the Summit stage on 14 and 15 March include:

Futurist Steve Sammartino: One of the world’s most insightful, entertaining and informative speakers, Sammartino will share why the next generation will have different expectations and how we can meet them. Committed to embracing the future today, Sammartino is walking the walk, building a 3D printed house outside Melbourne that will have AI installed.

Rik Rushton: An expert in real estate and changing landscapes, Rushton will show us how to make change sustainable by fixing our mental programming.

Megan Jaffe, Ray White: One of the world’s leading sales agents, nobody knows more than Megan Jaffe does on how to excel in a challenging market. Her insights and tips will give agents a practical, hands-on guide on how to adapt and change to suit the market conditions.

Sarah Bell, AIRE: Artificial Intelligence can be your slave, can help you free up time so you can focus on building relationships, and can be the most efficient assistant you’ve ever had. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Hear from Sarah Bell, fresh from the Inman New York stage, how AI and her robot Rita can help you become a better real estate professional.
