This course equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to recognise and interact productively with diverse groups of individuals in the workplace. It covers responding to and working effectively with individual differences encountered during the course of work.
Designed for individuals working in various contexts where they will interact with diverse groups, participants will also learn to provide leadership and guidance to others and take on limited responsibility for the output of others. This training is essential for professionals aiming to excel in diverse workplace settings and contribute positively to their teams.
1: Establish Practices that Support Individual Differences in the Workplace
• Identify individual differences in colleagues, clients and customers
• Identify organisational policies and procedures relating to inclusive work practices
• Assist relevant personnel in developing plan for incorporating inclusive practices in work tasks
2: Work Effectively with Individual Differences
• Document developed knowledge, skills and experience
• Support colleagues and share specific skills with other team members and clients
• Identify and implement inclusive work practices to demonstrate value of diversity in the workplace
• Modify verbal and non-verbal communication to accommodate individual differences
3: Assess Use of Inclusive Practices
• Seek feedback on inclusive practices from supervisor
• Evaluate feedback and identify opportunities for improvement
• Incorporate feedback and make improvements to work practices according to legislative requirements and enterprise guidelines
