The pick of the bunch: REIQ unveils 2026 Awards finalists

Spring selling season may be just beginning, but the Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) has already handpicked its stand-out performers, today revealing the finalists for the 2026 REIQ Awards for Excellence.

The finalists will now vie for Queensland’s highest real estate honours across the award’s diverse individual and agency categories announced at the gala event on Saturday, 31 October 2026 at The Star Brisbane.

REIQ CEO Antonia Mercorella said a record number of nominations had delivered an exceptional field of finalists and made this year’s judging process one of the most competitive yet.

“The REIQ Awards for Excellence has always been a highly anticipated event on the Queensland real estate calendar, but this year we’re delighted to have received more than 100 additional nominations compared to previous years,” Ms Mercorella said.

“Our awards represent the pinnacle of professional recognition in Queensland real estate and set the benchmark for excellence across our industry.

“It’s incredibly encouraging to see real estate professionals and agencies from all corners of Queensland taking the opportunity to be recognised for the outstanding work they do in their businesses, communities and for their clients.

“To be named a finalist means you’ve distinguished yourself among a strong statewide crop of candidates and demonstrated a commitment to professionalism, customer service and best practice.

“Every year our judges are impressed by the passion, innovation and dedication reflected in the submissions, and this year's finalists should be immensely proud of progressing to this stage.

“As the state’s peak body, we’re committed to recognising those who set the benchmark for excellence and help elevate standards across our profession. These finalists are doing exactly that, and we wish them the best of luck on the awards night.

“It’s a night filled with excitement, camaraderie and pride, and we can’t wait to welcome finalists, their teams and supporters for what promises to be another unforgettable celebration.”

Ms Mercorella said the awards not only celebrated commercial success, but also recognised the professionals and businesses committed to leadership, best practice, multimedia, industry innovation and contribution to their communities. The 2026 program also includes the new Multi-Office Network of the Year category.

“The breadth of categories reflects the diversity of Queensland’s real estate sectors, from residential and commercial sales through to property management, buyers’ agency, business broking, auctioneering, business development, agency support and more.”
