Peak body honours Queensland’s standout real estate professionals
Queensland’s most outstanding real estate professionals have been honoured at the Real Estate Institute of Queensland’s (REIQ) 2025 Awards for Excellence last night (Saturday, 8 November) at the Brisbane Showgrounds.
The glittering gala brought together more than 800 professionals from across the Sunshine State to celebrate excellence and integrity in the real estate profession.
Now in its 34th year, the REIQ Awards for Excellence remain the pinnacle of professional achievement in Queensland real estate, recognising individuals and agencies who exemplify best practice, deliver exceptional client service and achieve excellent results for clients.
Spanning a broad range of categories - including residential sales, property management, commercial, buyers’ agency, auctioneering, business broking, as well as community contribution, multimedia, and innovation - the awards showcase the breadth of talent and service that continues to set the benchmark for excellence across the industry.
REIQ CEO Antonia Mercorella said the awards night was a highlight on the real estate calendar and a fitting celebration the hard work, sacrifice and community-minded service that often flies under the radar.
“The REIQ Awards for Excellence are a true reflection of the professionalism, skill, dedication and passion that define our profession,” Ms Mercorella said.
“Taking home an REIQ Award is the profession’s highest honour in Queensland, and the fierce competition and rigorous judging process means this recognition is well-deserved.
“It recognises not only outstanding achievement but a deep commitment to upholding the standards that build community trust in real estate professionals.”
Ms Mercorella said this year’s event captured the spirit of camaraderie and pride that continues to define the REIQ membership community.
“It was inspiring to look around the room and see so many high achievers united by shared values and a passion for raising the bar,” she said.
“Our winners and finalists are trailblazers - they’re not only achieving success for their clients and businesses but also helping to shape the future of our profession.”
One of the most popular and highly anticipated awards is Residential Salesperson of the Year, which was claimed this year by Tristan Rowland from Bright Estate Agents – for the second year in a row, and having been a finalist for the prior five years.
Presented by Queensland’s peak body for real estate profession, the REIQ Awards for Excellence form part of the Institute’s ongoing mission to raise professionalism and consumer confidence within the real estate industry.
