Energy rebates for households and small businesses
Queensland households and small businesses with electricity bills are due to receive $150 in energy bill rebates from 1 July 2025 to the end of 2025.
This follows the Australian Government announcing a $1.8 billion extension of the Energy Bill Relief Fund by six months in the 2025–26 Budget.
Rebates will be automatically applied to your electricity bill in two $75 quarterly instalments. Most customers do not need to take any action to receive rebates.
Households and small businesses in embedded networks (where you receive your electricity from your strata, landlord in a caravan park or shopping centre) are also eligible.
These residential and small business tenants are due to receive one $150 rebate in 2025-26, applied as a lump sum credit on their electricity bills.
