Smoke Alarm Solutions is now MYLO

The same trusted Queensland team, with national backing

From 1 October 2026, Smoke Alarm Solutions became MYLO. MYLO Group acquired the business earlier this year, and the name change brings our Queensland service under the MYLO brand.

For our Queensland clients, the change is straightforward. You will continue working with the local team you know, with the same focus on smoke alarm compliance and requirements. Our Queensland head office remains in Eagle Farm.

The same Queensland team

Our Queensland customer service and field teams will continue carrying out work across the state. You will still deal with people who understand the local market and the day-to-day needs of property managers, landlords and tenants.

Our team has worked in Queensland since 2007, building detailed knowledge of the state’s smoke alarm legislation. We know compliance can take time to coordinate, so we aim to make the process clear and keep you informed about the work required at your properties.

You will start seeing the MYLO name on our communications, materials, vehicles and field team uniforms. The local people and service behind them remain familiar.

Local experience, national backing

MYLO Group is an Australian, family-owned property services business that began in 2019. Across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, the group supports more than 250,000 properties.

That national scale gives our Queensland team access to broader systems, technology and specialist support. It builds on the local experience we have developed over nearly two decades.

MYLO’s services vary by state, property and package. In Queensland, we provide smoke alarm compliance services. In other states, our services can include trade work, home modifications and checks related to rental minimum standards.

Tools to help manage compliance

The new MYLO Portal brings the key details of your compliance work together in one place, including job progress, quotes, reports and service history. MYLO also offers a PropertyMe integration for agencies using that platform.

Our Customer Success Team can help with questions, updates and coordinating jobs. For tenants at eligible properties, phone support is also available 24 hours a day if a smoke alarm sounds outside normal business hours.

We have worked with hundreds of thousands of customers over the years, and we are proud of the feedback they have shared in our Google reviews. We will keep listening and looking for ways to make the service easier to use.

A decade working with the REIQ

For 10 years, Smoke Alarm Solutions has been proud to work with the REIQ as its smoke alarm compliance partner in Queensland. We are grateful for the opportunity to support the REIQ and its members, and for the relationships we have built with Queensland property professionals.

As Smoke Alarm Solutions becomes MYLO, our commitment to Queensland remains. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the REIQ and supporting its members with smoke alarm compliance services through the same experienced local team.

Your Queensland smoke alarm compliance work will continue through the local team you know, with the same support for your agency.
