Residential Sales Job Ready Program

Following the successful launch of the Property Manager Job Ready Program in 2022, the industry has quickly requested a similar style of training for the residential sales sector!

Scheduled for launch in late 2023, this non-accredited program will be designed to advance your knowledge beyond the existing compulsory accredited units of competency so that you can enter the industry with confidence and a step ahead of your peers.

The Sales Agent Job Ready Program is also designed to be a saviour for busy agencies and principals who need to quickly upskill new staff and want to extend their knowledge beyond the entry level requirements of a Registration or Full Licence Course.

Diploma of Property - Agency Management (CPP51122)

The Diploma of Property (Agency Management) (CPP51122) will be offered over the next 12 - 18 months, to be released as 12 short courses with topics such as:

  • Manage compliance in the property industry
  • Establish and monitor property industry trust account management practices
  • Manage ethical practice in the property industry
  • Manage a safe workplace in the property industry
  • Manage teams in the property industry
  • Manage operational finances in the property industry
  • Develop a strategic business plan in the property industry

All 12 short courses are able to be undertaken to complete the requirements of the full diploma program or undertaken individually as professional development opportunities. This qualification reflects the role of property services principals who apply knowledge of property agency and compliance requirements, ethical standards and consumer preferences to establish and control property services functions.

Resident Letting Agent (RLA) Program

To be released late 2023, REIQ’s Resident Letting Agent (RLA) Program will allow you to complete the educational requirements you need to rent out and manage units in a building complex (on behalf of the owners and body corporate), collect rents in the complex and operate a trust account. Completion of these education requirements will allow you to apply for a resident letting agent licence with the Office of Fair Trading.

This program will be offered with a 12-month duration with 15 units taken from the industry-recognised training packages, Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) and the Diploma of Property (Agency Management) (CPP51122).
