How to Upskill for Post-Pandemic Life
Real estate agents are a busy bunch, and despite their best intentions, sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day to attend professional events, collect their CPD points or upskill with online training programs. So, while COVID has brought plenty of bad news, there’s a silver lining: Time.
Sales volumes are lower, and while that means agents need to be working extra hard to find listings, it also presents a great opportunity for some breathing space. It will likely be at least a couple of months before the number of transactions is back to normal. Therefore now is the time to focus on your personal and professional growth.

Upskill to Achieve Your Goals
Now is the time to assess your career goals, to help you identify how best to capitalise on this opportunity. Think about:
Andrews says it’s also a great time to take stock of your outside-of-work life, which can give some perspective to help shape your career. “It’s been so great to be able to reconnect with our home surroundings, with our families, partners and kids,” he said. “It’s almost like doing a 360 of your life and looking properly at things – not just in your career – and setting new goals and plans for the years ahead.”
Those with a real estate qualification have an enormous array of career paths available to them. From residential sales to property management, commercial leasing to auctioneering, and from being a buyer’s agent to running your own agency, opportunities abound. For those fortunate enough to already be involved in the industry, a career transition is just a training course away.
